How would you like to access over 6 thousand adult DVD titles for less than a dollar per day? You'll find over 34 thousand scenes from 160 different studios filling over 30 different categories. And if that's not enough, you'll also get 2 new DVDs added to the archive every day!

Like most DVD archive websites, the tour is extremely comprehensive. You can browse a preview page for literally every single title in the archive. One each page you'll find a description of the DVD and each of the scenes on the disc asd well as a list of the categories and pornstars featured. The whole tour is interlinked. So if you find a DVD you like, you can easily check out other DVDs from the same studio with just a single click of your mouse. Likewise, if you see a pornstar you like, simply click on her name to be taken to her profile page where you can see any other DVDs in the archive that she may have appeared in.

Also, you can preview any scene on the tour with a streaming video (in reduced quality). You only get to watch 5 previews, though, so don't waste them on the first 5 scenes you come across. You only get a few secconds for each preview, but the cool thing about the DVD Box previews is that you can jump straight to any part of the scene. So you get less time than on other sites but you can jump to any part of the scene you want. You're basically shooting blind, though. So it can be hit and miss.

At the time of writing this review, DVD Box boasted an impressive 6714 DVDs in its collection. Considering the price of a typical adult DVD in stores, the fact that you can access such a vast archive for less than a buck a day is pretty amazing if you ask me. On top of that, you'll usually get 2 new DVDs per day. I say usually simply because you will find the odd day from time to time where you get only one. From the last 20 days, there have been 4 days with just one DVD compared to 16 days where 2 DVDs were added. But even one DVD per day would be a huge amount when you consider the average number of scenes per DVD is nearly 5. That means in the last 20 days, there have been nearly 180 new scenes added to the DVD Box archive. It's just a massive amount of porn. You'd have trouble keeping up with the updates, let alone digging through the archive of 34000+ scenes.

But all the DVDs in the world would be for naught if the quality wasn't up to scratch. Thankfully, the quality of the videos in DVD Box is great. For the regular download links, the highest quality available are 720 x 480 pixel WMV files encoded at around 2000kbps. There's also streaming flash video in the same resolution and a lower resolution WMV download too. But what surprised me about DVD Box is that it offers other file formats, including VOB files. VOB files are the original files straight from the DVD. Which means you can download the uncompressed video and with an appropriate program, you can burn these to disc and watch them on your DVD player. Or you can watch them on your computer with a media player like VLC. However, you have the request these extra formats (such as VOB files, DivX, iPod compatiable videos, MPEG, etc). Why they're not available for download immediately is beyond me. But still, this is the first DVD websites I've come across that has offered VOB files at all. So we can't really complain! Every scene is accompanied by screenshots too, so there's an image gallery to go along with each scene also. Some even have high resolution photos, but this is definitely not the norm.

It's reassuring to see a timer counting down the hours, minutes and secconds until the next update. As is the upcoming DVDs page, where you should be able to preview the next 5 or so DVDs due to be added to the member's area.

As is usually the case with a DVD archive, the value for money is great. There's more porn than you'll ever be able to get through. But it's reassuring to know it's there and that you are getting such good value for money. The quality is great and the extra features such as the favorites section and the ability to get files in the raw DVD format (VOB files) is a real treat. There are currently over 3 thousand DVDs available and with 2 more being added most days, this website should be able to keep you busy for quite some time! Enjoy.
